BERKAT INSAF Nickel Cadmium Battery
BERKAT INSAF Nickel Cadmium Battery works by an Electrochemical reaction between a Nickel positive plate and a Cadmium negative plate, immersed in a liquid alkaline electrolyte (potassium hydroxide). This reaction produces a nominal voltage of 1.2 volts per cell. Required voltages are obtained by connecting these cells together in series to form a battery.
The potassium hydroxide electrolyte used in Nickel Camium cells acts as an ion conductor between the positive and negative plates and takes no part in the chemical reaction of the cell. As the concentration of the electrolyte does not alter during operation. The battery will not damaged at very a low temperature.
Application - The Long rate series of Nickel Cadmium batteries are suitable for
Utilities (Electricity, gas, water production & distribution), Oil & Gas (Offshore, satellite, repeater station & cellular base station), Industry (Chemical, mining, steel & etc.), Building (Public & private), Medical (Hospital, X-ray equipment & etc), Military (All applications), Airports (All applications), Railways (intercity, urban transport, substaion & signaling)

Feature - Fully welded internal construction of steel components, Strong welded polypropy lene containers, Dead-top feature as standard, Operation over a wide range of temperature -40°C to +60°C, Life in excess of 20 years in many applications.
Capacity - The rated capacity (C5) of a cell is the caoacity available in amperes hours (Ah) at the 5 hours discharge rate to an end voltage of 1.00 volt per cell.
Discharge Voltage - The nominal discharge voltage is 1.2 volts per cell.
